Join Amazon's Operations Technology team as a Software Development Engineer II, specializing in Network Automation. In this role, you will tackle complex infrastructure challenges and contribute to the development of our fulfillment center systems, ensuring they operate at Amazon's massive scale. You will play a critical part in constructing infrastructure for upcoming fulfillment centers that process millions of customer orders daily.

Our team is dedicated to refining the core infrastructure components that support tens of thousands of Amazonians, hundreds of thousands of IP-enabled devices, and a vast array of user devices globally. You will work alongside talented systems and software engineers to enhance the technology driving our Fulfillment Centers and Transportation sites.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess:

Extensive hands-on experience with native AWS and cutting-edge technologies.

A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, design, and AWS services.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to cultivate productive relationships with remote teams worldwide.

A positive attitude, patience, and a sense of humor.

In this role, your daily tasks will include:

Collaborating with Network and Wireless Engineering teams to develop and enhance tools for network management.

Partnering with deployment engineering to streamline site build and decommissioning processes.

Creating automated solutions to reduce the time involved in critical activities.

Our organization manages over 450,000 access points connecting 1.4 million customer devices, alongside more than 200,000 network devices spanning over 2,400 active sites. As part of our team, you will contribute to innovations that improve how we visualize and manage the costs associated with our infrastructure.
