Technical Support Associate , you will provide level 2 support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktop, laptop, and tablet computers. Your role will involve both remote assistance and face-to-face support at our walk-up locations. Primary Responsibilities: Analyze and investigate technical issues. Provide clear explanations and interpretations within your area of expertise. Deliver local and remote technical support for Optum’s shared desktop applications. Utilize relevant data to identify and resolve various issues within your skill set. Investigate non-standard requests and challenges with some assistance. Focus exclusively within a defined knowledge area. Organize and prioritize your work to meet deadlines effectively. Share explanations and information on relevant topics with others. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or higher. 3+ years of experience with PC operating systems, including Windows 10 & 11. 3+ years of desktop support and technology support experience. 2+ years of knowledge in Networking Principles, TCP/IP protocols, and LAN/WAN technologies. 2+ years of expertise with Microsoft Office applications, including troubleshooting Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Microsoft Certifications. IT Certifications (CompTIA A+ or Network+). Experience with Bomgar and Altiris tools. Prior experience in a Call Center or Customer Service role. Support experience with mobile devices (Android and iOS). Experience with MAC devices (iPad and iPhone). Familiarity with wireless networking. Proficient with service ticketing systems. Experience with remote assistance tools (Bomgar, Windows native tools, and Altiris). Willingness to travel between local offices if necessary. Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Thrive in challenging troubleshooting situations with a keen attention to detail. Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a decentralized team. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Able to lift up to 30 lbs. Compensation for this role ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour, depending on various factors including local labor markets, education, and work experience.
