Do you enjoy working in an interdisciplinary environment where your work directly impacts scientific discoveries? If so, join our team as Data Engineer / Data Manager (30h) at the Computational Imaging Research Lab (CIR, Medical University of Vienna)! Expected starting date: as of May 05th, 2025, until December 31st, 2025 (with option to extend). Salary will be based on the university wage agreement. Your Role: You will support our interdisciplinary research group at the intersection of AI, medical imaging, and precision medicine (www.cir.meduniwien.ac.at), particularly in the Christian Doppler Laboratory "Machine Learning Driven Precision Imaging" to develop AI models for personalized cancer treatment (https://www.cir.meduniwien.ac.at/mlpi). Manage & structure large medical imaging datasets. Optimize scientific data pipelines and databases. Coordinate data transfer and data security. Work closely with AI researchers, clinicians, and data scientists. Your Profile: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages. Background in Computer Science or a related field. Curiosity to dive into new topics - whether it's big data or medical imaging. Strong communication & teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary setting.
