Our flexible work policy requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team building highly scalable Cloud Automation software. The team is looking for a passionate developer eager to work in an innovative environment. The Cloud Infrastructure Services team focuses on building a scalable and robust cloud orchestration suite that automates lifecycle events for thousands of ServiceNow customer instances, including provisioning, cloning, and load balancing across global server farms. We leverage high-scale distributed computing and orchestration logic to ensure resiliency and reliability. What You Will Do Design and develop cloud automation for deployment and management of ServiceNow Platform/Products in various infrastructures, including public clouds. Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and oversee your code from design through testing and deployment. Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code, adhering to best practices like code reviews and unit testing. Work within a team to scale automation solutions for future needs. Engage with infrastructure and development teams across ServiceNow. Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing. Qualifications Experience integrating AI into workflows, decision-making, or problem-solving, including AI tools, workflow automation, or AI insights analysis. 4+ years of experience designing and building scalable, reusable components. Exceptional Java & JavaScript skills. Proficiency with messaging and streaming technologies like RabbitMQ or Kafka. Strong problem-solving and software development passion. Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and patterns. Experience with scalable web service development. Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet. Familiarity with XML, REST, JSON. Excellent debugging, testing, and troubleshooting skills. Self-motivated with a quick learning ability. Strong communication skills. Experience with agile development lifecycle. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Desired Skills Experience with ServiceNow platform development. Knowledge of cloud tech and distributed computing. Understanding of Linux internals. Experience in building ITOM software. Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl, Python, Bash.
