Senior Data Science Consultant - Clearance Required Location: US-VA-Tysons Job ID: 2024-12137 | Category: Data/Analytics | Openings: 1 Overview LMI is seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant to lead the development, testing, and deployment of advanced algorithms supporting a supply chain risk program for the Department of Defense. Responsibilities Leverage extensive knowledge of advanced data science concepts to streamline the analysis of complex supply-chain data. Apply advanced data science topics such as active learning, semi-supervised learning, and bias calculation. Write Python, Spark, and SQL code for data preparation and analysis in research and production environments. Collaborate with data engineers, UI developers, and subject matter experts to develop and deploy data science methods within an evolving software suite. Lead and coordinate data science tasks across multiple teams, managing prioritization. Quickly learn and apply new data science techniques relevant to the project. Work effectively in a Databricks environment, developing, testing, and deploying code via notebooks. Embrace and leverage novel data science techniques to solve real-world challenges involving large, messy datasets. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 3-10 years of experience as a data scientist. Experience with Agile development, Python, Spark, notebooks, DataBricks or similar environments, and Scikit-learn or similar Python packages. Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Active DoD Secret clearance is required; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
