About the Role: The Finance Platform team focuses on enterprise tools, systems, automation, integration, and workflow development within the broader Finance Operations group, which is part of Revenue Operations (RevOps) alongside Sales & Customer Success Operations and Marketing Operations. As a Senior GTM Data Analys t specializing in Finance at PitchBook, you play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making processes. You will utilize data sourced from various repositories, including Snowflake as part of our Enterprise Data Platform (and associated data products), to construct insightful dashboards, reports, and analytics products tailored to address specific questions and uncover actionable insights. Your analytical skills and understanding of financial metrics will enable you to provide valuable visibility into financial performance metrics and KPIs, supporting data-driven strategies and initiatives. Building upon your extensive experience, you will not only analyze data but also provide strategic guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members. You actively contribute to shaping the overall data strategy of the organization, collaborating with senior leadership to align data initiatives with broader business objectives and drive organizational growth. Primary Job Responsibilities: Analyze financial data across multiple systems, including ERP, CRM, and business intelligence tools, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. Translate complex datasets into understandable insights for stakeholders. Provide deep insights into data trends, leveraging advanced analytical methodologies Design and develop purpose-built dashboards and reports to track financial metrics and KPIs. Ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of reporting tools for end-users. Implement automated reporting solutions to streamline data delivery processes. Customize reports and dashboards to meet the specific needs of finance users, enabling informed decision-making Identify opportunities for automation within financial processes, such as budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation. Work with Finance Platform and Finance teams to implement solutions that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort Generate actionable insights from data analysis to drive finance strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions Provide training and support to finance users on analytics functionality, report generation, and data analysis techniques Ensure the integrity and quality of sales and finance data by implementing data governance best practices. Lead initiatives to enhance data quality and integrity across marketing datasets Independently engage with internal customers regarding their analytics needs and deliver on them. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, customer success, product, and finance, to align data analysis efforts with business objectives Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong track record of delivering actionable insights and driving business impact. Prior experience in a senior or lead analyst role preferred Previous experience supporting finance or revenue operations teams required Expert proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning. Extensive experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing platforms Advanced analytical skills, including experience with statistical modeling, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is highly desirable Demonstrated expertise in developing sophisticated dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience with dashboard automation and customization through scripting languages is a plus Comprehensive understanding of finance concepts and metrics, with the ability to provide strategic guidance to finance leaders Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience leading workshops or training sessions on data analytics topics is advantageous Keen attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality assurance. Experience implementing data validation and data cleansing techniques preferred Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively lead conversations with cross-functional teams and drive consensus on data-driven strategies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field. Compensation Annual base salary: $115,000-$130,000 Target annual bonus percentage: 10% *Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. Working Conditions: We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
