Laboratory Technician I
Location:
Visalia, California – On Site
Summary:
Edeniq, Inc., is seeking a Laboratory Technician I (“Lab Tech I”) to join our Visalia, CA, team. As a Lab Tech I, you will be a member of our lab team performing chemical and data analysis for a growing list of customers in the renewable fuel industry, helping plants nationwide increase their production of low-carbon, environmentally friendly, biofuels. This is a non-exempt entry-level position with the opportunity for growth into our Lab Tech II role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform assigned lab assays pursuant to weekly run schedule
Perform assays and data entry on a timely and accurate basis, meeting all quality assurance requirements
Lab Tech I positions begin training quickly to qualify for lab assays that enable rapid advancement to Lab Tech II, then to Lab Tech III through increasing mastery and advancement opportunities
Support lab workflow, assisting other lab team members in ongoing runs
Create buffers and prep samples for team assays
Create and maintain stock solutions of reagents and analytical standards
All employees work to maintain a hygienic work environment, participating in lab cleanliness and organization
Perform duties in a safe manner, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. in lab sciences or similar field
Proficient in basic algebraic and statistical calculations
Working knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures
Ability to read and follow MSDS/SDS requirements
Prior data analysis training or experience, including use of statistics and software calculation tools (Excel )
Knowledge and understanding of QC/QA analyses
Ability to follow written Standard Operating Procedures with minimal supervision
Ability to function effectively and professionally in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
No travel required
Relocation costs to Visalia not provided
Qualifications:
In lieu of undergraduate degree, individuals with 3+ years of similar experience may be considered
Previous HPLC experience
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
