Collaborate with business units and lead analysts to gather and clarify requirements, breaking them down into detailed, actionable components. Perform data mapping and transformation tasks, such as translating legacy data fields (e.g., "Name," "Phone") to new database schemas (e.g., "CustomerName," "ContactNumber"). The role involves working with a substantial volume of data mapping-typically across 40+ tables. Write advanced SQL queries to combine, validate, and transform data across multiple tables. Understand and validate API data objects and endpoints, ensuring data integrity and performance meet business needs. Support the development lifecycle by assisting in requirements interpretation, functional testing, and data validation post-development. Collaborate across a highly collaborative, cross-functional team that spans multiple business units within the enterprise. Participate actively in Agile processes, including daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming. Work with modern technologies including Azure and Databricks, gaining hands-on exposure as part of your role. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and help maintain high data quality standards. Document business processes, system designs, and validation steps clearly and thoroughly. Qualifications: Required: 3+ years of experience working with SQL and data mapping/validation in a data-intensive environment. Experience working with a substantial volume of data mapping-typically across 40+ tables. Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience partnering with business analysts, developers, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions. Familiarity with API validation concepts and testing. Experience working within Agile or Kanban frameworks. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Commitment to incorporating security best practices in all daily work. Ability to document business and technical requirements clearly. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Experience with SQL on platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server. Experience or interest in cloud technologies and data platforms like Azure and Databricks.
