MTSI is seeking a junior-level software developer to join a high-performing team supporting a DoD program developing software to simulate and evaluate the effectiveness of various DoD weapon systems against potential threats. Primary responsibilities include developing software architectures, implementing code, and testing software applications. Required Skills: 2+ years of software engineering/development experience, including recent experience in agile environments. Proficiency in one or more high-level object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python). Knowledge of modeling and simulation concepts (discrete-event, stochastic variables, Monte Carlo analysis, etc.). Ability to work well in a team and interact with data suppliers and customers. Capability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to explain complex technical issues and present results. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Active secret clearance is required; TS clearance is highly desired. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of missile and sensor modeling and simulation is highly desirable. Experience with the full software development lifecycle. Familiarity with source code management tools like Git and Gitlab. Master's degree in computer science or related engineering field is a plus. Clearance Requirements: Active secret clearance is required; TS clearance is highly desired.
