RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (DevOps/AI - Startup). This is a hybrid/flexible role based near White Plains, NY. Overview: We're partnering with a stealth-mode healthcare technology innovator focused on expanding access to affordable, high-quality care. The company has developed a patent solution that merges telehealth, diagnostics, and AI into a fully integrated, on-demand care platform. As they expand their engineering team, they are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead critical projects across infrastructure, platform development, and AI integration. Key Responsibilities: Staff Software Engineer will collaborate with the CTO to drive engineering best practices and AI strategy Lead development of scalable, secure .NET-based platforms and modern cloud infrastructure Build and maintain DevOps pipelines, automation tools, and CI/CD workflows As a Staff Software Engineer, you will architect and optimize system integrations and platform interfaces Work cross-functionally with product and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration Stay ahead of emerging technologies in AI, DevOps, and healthcare tech REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years of software development experience with strong leadership capabilities Hands-on experience in front-end, back-end, and DevOps environments Agile development experience with tools like Azure DevOps or TFS Deep expertise in C#, , and SQL Server; Legacy .NET (2.x/3.x) experience a plus Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Docker, and Kubernetes Familiarity with AI-enhanced development workflows and large language model integration (a plus) Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth settings Must be based in the Tri-State Area (NY/NJ/CT)-hybrid flexibility available for top candidates Why Join: Mission-driven work improving access to healthcare High-growth environment with cutting-edge projects in AI and telehealth Competitive compensation, unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and full benefits Join a collaborative, high-performing team during a pivotal growth phase The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
