We are seeking a dedicated Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Enterprise Core team. In this role, you will architect and implement systems that empower external developers to manage satellite connectivity programmatically with Project Kuiper. Your contributions will involve crafting exceptional SDK experiences, creating enterprise-grade identity systems for secure access, and establishing enduring API and event patterns. Your Responsibilities: Actively participate in the overall enterprise service strategy and API architecture. Design and implement globally available distributed systems for authentication, metrics, and events. Collaborate with commerce, device, networking, and security engineering teams. Engage in all phases of new enterprise feature development, from ideation to technical design and implementation. Work closely with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and Solutions Architects to enhance the developer experience for our enterprise customers. Ensure services comply with AWS's stringent standards for security, availability, and compliance. A Day in Your Life: As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have the chance to develop foundational services and APIs for an advanced global service. You will collaborate across teams to define how customers interact with Kuiper programmatically, ensuring our services meet AWS's high standards for enterprise readiness. About Our Team: Our team is responsible for developing the enterprise architecture, solutions, and roadmap for Kuiper's enterprise experience. We build foundational services for identity management, API interfaces, developer tools, and enterprise application integrations, ensuring an excellent developer experience while meeting all enterprise requirements. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of experience programming in at least one software language. 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling). Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US markets, with a base salary ranging from $151,300 to $261,500, depending on location and related experience.
