SUMMARY : SABG is hiring a full-time MD 3 Plans, Program, & Requirements Support Analyst/ SME to support Mission Delta 3 (MD 3) S5 Directorate as a contract staff member providing continuity across all Delta 3 capabilities and missions, ensuring operator needs and concerns are captured and routed through the appropriate program office and tracked to resolution. The S5 directorate serves as the Mission Delta focal point for all innovation and future planning efforts, responsible for planning long-term system employment, maintenance engineering, lifecycle management, future development and continuous improvement process management for Space Electromagnetic Warfare (SEW).
This position is contingent upon contract award. Travel: Up to 4 TDYs and 4-8 conferences may be required per year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Support and actively participate in weekly innovation meetings and all meetings relevant to developmental programs with partners including Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), other USSF Space Deltas, Space Camp, other DoD partners, and industry partners as required Coordinate with both developmental and sustainment program offices such as SSC, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) and others to ensure operator needs and concerns are captured and routed through to the appropriate Program Office(s) Attend developmental program reviews and provide recommendations and feedback on emerging requirements including Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs), etc. Coordinate and facilitate the AF Form 1067 process for potential updates/upgrades to existing Programs of Record identified by the operational community Support and participate in future innovation discovery and implementation efforts as deemed necessary by MD 3 Provide maintenance engineering, and/or lifecycle program support to assist sustainment of MD 3 weapon systems (supporting 9-13 weapon system programs requiring engineering and lifecycle support at the Staff level) Liaise/interface with deployed teams, program offices, and operational units in support of MD 3 leadership to coordinate maintenance, engineering, and lifecycle program support for weapon systems, as required Interface with the staffs of the SECDEF, Service Chiefs, USSF, Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and coalition partners in addition to USSF Field Command operational units Interact directly with USSF Field Command S-Staffs, Program Offices, AF MAJCOMs, Unified Commands, Air Staff, and defense agencies to assist in identifying and defining operational deficiencies and to integrate total force capabilities Work with organizations such as Joint Staff, USSPACECOM, JFSCC, DoD/OSD, DNI, DIA, SAF, HAF, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), HQ USSF, Space Operations Command (SpOC), SPOs and Product Centers Review, analyze, and provide recommended changes and additions to documents accomplished by other organizations Prepare/deliver briefings/talking papers aimed at integrating and gaining planning advocacy Attend ad hoc conferences and other technical exchanges and provide reports as required Provide trip report summaries and meeting minutes with 3-business day turn-around time
SUPERVISION : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Capable of comprehending personnel space management and interior design to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. Education And Experience
Bachelors Degree in applicable engineering field (mechanical, electrical, radio frequency, etc.) and 10+ years Planning experience including 6+ years working with any military HQ Staff operating in support of current and future EW mission areas Required Certifications: DoD Antiterrorism (AT) Level I training (must be completed within 30 calendar days after start date); DoD Information Assurance Awareness (IAA) Cyber Awareness Challenge training; Annual and event-driven/mission specific OPSEC training Experience working in classified (SAP/SAR) space environment Experience operating or supporting (electromagnetic warfare, Joint operations planner, EW Intelligence, management, oversight, or operations) any EW systems in military, commercial/civil, or academia Joint operations planning experience developing/coordinating tasking orders, concept of operations, special instructions, deployment orders, execution orders, etc. Experience advising/supporting acquisition/integration of future electromagnetic warfare weapon systems, either upgrades or next generation capabilities Space Electromagnetic Warfare (SEW) weapons systems & operations experience Experience with Military DOTMLPF-P analysis and/or staffing process knowledge Understanding of Space Force organizational structure and operations
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
