Job Position: Project Manager
Location: Waco, TX 76701
Must have an active Journeyman Electrician's license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Description: Salary: $75,000 – $85,000/year - Direct Hire Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Employer Match, Bonuses, Paid Time Off, Vacation, Life Insurance
Position Summary Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of commercial electrical construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Plan and oversee all phases of assigned electrical construction projects.
Review project proposals, contracts, and schedules to determine scope, timelines, and resources.
Direct and coordinate field and office personnel, assigning duties and managing performance.
Serve as the primary liaison with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, ensure schedule adherence, and resolve on-site issues.
Execute and manage purchasing and buyouts, material submittals, and deliveries.
Create and maintain project budgets, schedules of values, and cost forecasts.
Manage billing, cash flow, change orders, and project documentation.
Visit job sites regularly to assess progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Ensure successful handoff from estimating/sales to project execution.
Oversee and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and Foremen.
Conduct regular project performance reviews and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and company safety/environmental policies.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in project management for commercial electrical construction.
Experience managing projects valued at $3 million and above.
Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, methods, and construction practices.
Ability to manage large commercial, institutional, or federal projects.
Skilled in reading blueprints, estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management, and estimating software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree .
Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation.
Working Conditions Office-based with frequent travel to job sites.
Exposure to a variety of weather and noise conditions on construction sites.
Some light lifting and physical movement required for administrative tasks.
