Join the dynamic team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer specializing in EC2 Nitro. Our Nitro system is the backbone of the world's largest and fastest-growing compute cloud, designed to provide unmatched performance and security.
As an integral part of the Nitro team, you will work on a fully custom stack that includes hardware, firmware, and applications, enabling us to support a variety of processors, including Intel, AMD, and Amazon's Graviton. Your contributions will help shape new virtualized and bare-metal compute platforms that serve a diverse range of customers, from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
We are looking for experienced software engineers who possess strong coding skills in C, C++, or Rust, as well as a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals. Your experience in Linux environments, including package management, version control, automated build processes, and software unit testing, will be crucial. Ideal candidates will have in-depth knowledge of Linux operating system internals.

Design, develop, test, and deploy software for large-scale systems
Collaborate with EC2 teams to establish and refine the team’s roadmap
Lead system architecture decisions and promote best practices
Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of professional software development experience
2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
Proficiency in at least one programming language
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience through the full software development life cycle
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
