Responsibilities Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The candidate selected for this role will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Annapolis Junction campus; this is not a remote work opportunity. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Provide technical support for Windows servers and workstations along with associated networks. Install, harden, and patch Windows operating systems. Configure, deploy, and harden thick, thin, and zero client PC. Manage Thin and Zero Client management servers. Manage Windows Deployment Server (WDS), create and harden WDS gold images, and deploy WDS gold images to laboratory thick client PCs. Coordinate with users, program staff, server administrators, network engineers, and customer and IT management. Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies. Work with engineers to resolve support issues, escalating to proper personnel when appropriate. Participate in new installations, testing, and special projects as needed. Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers. Lift 40 pounds. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3. Basic Qualifications For a Level 2 Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree. Basic Qualifications For a Level 3 Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree. Basic Qualifications For Levels 2 And 3 Candidates must have a current DoD Top Secret level security clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) or must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, to be considered; additionally, the selected candidate must be SCI eligible, and the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph examination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and as a condition of continued employment. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment. Must have Security+ CE or equivalent certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Must have experience supporting large user populations in a secure environment Must have experience with Microsoft products such as Windows 10/11, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Preferred Qualifications Current DoD polygraph. Proficiency in administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management, Exchange, MS SQL, and WSUS. Windows 7/10/11 administration experience; Windows Server 2012/2016 experience; Group Policies (GPOs) experience; Active Directory management experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously. Ability to work well within a team environment and be able to adapt quickly to change. Interest in engineering tools and control systems. Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $132,080.00Salary Range 2: $100,300.00 - $163,020.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
