Consultant (Hadoop Developer) needed for Orabase Solutions LLC located in McKinney, TX. Will engage in software architecture and design for clients throughout the U.S. Responsibilities include:
Using Hadoop, the Spark ecosystem, and performing data warehousing to load and format data into tables.
Providing production support for multiple data presentation applications.
Engaging in shell scripting to run Oozie jobs.
Creating Production Requests for system modifications.
Managing Jira tickets and incidents related to system changes and deployments.
Cleaning up high memory usage tables and managing incidents via the At Your Service Portal.
Scheduling applications in ESP CA workload automation and monitoring systems.
Moving data from Teradata to Hadoop servers and performing distcp operations across Yahoo-Hadoop clusters.
Monitoring applications, analyzing failed Hadoop and Oozie jobs in Omega Yarn and Oozie Yarn, and resolving issues.
Performing ETL processes and troubleshooting pipelines involving Oracle, Teradata, and Informatica.
Qualifications include a Masters degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering. No prior experience is required. Candidates must be willing to travel and relocate.
