It is a CMM Level-4 company. Job Description The Web Application Engineer will utilize their web development expertise to improve the company's eSupport and Community web applications. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Business areas and Usability teams to gather requirements and create functional specifications. Work with designers, quality engineers, user experience specialists, project managers, and application owners to develop high-quality web applications. Manage multiple development projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams through all development phases. The incumbent will: Design, develop, and implement changes to the eSupport and Community web applications. Work with business teams to develop and document requirements and specifications. Create technical specifications and review them with the Architecture team. Collaborate with User Experience and design teams on workflows and page designs. Ensure quality by working with Quality Engineers on test cases and plans. Coordinate with infrastructure teams to support high performance and availability of applications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least three (3) years of professional experience, or a Master's degree in Engineering. Experience developing MVC web applications using Ruby on Rails or Java in a commercial environment. Knowledge of Software Development Methodologies. Experience in gathering and writing Requirements and Functional Specifications. Experience working with Web Services (REST, SOAP). Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure services such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. Experience with SOLR/Lucene. Experience with MATLAB.
