Overview:

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Lead Mainframe Developer to enhance and maintain mission-critical applications that support the DCSA background investigation processes. In this role, you will provide essential architecture, development, and cybersecurity support for the High Value Assets (HVAs) integral to the background investigation system. This position is primarily remote with periodic customer site visits required. Responsibilities:

As a Lead Mainframe Developer, you will: Support the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) and related background investigation systems. Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather and analyze user requirements. Utilize Atlassian tools including JIRA for tracking requirements. Design and implement effective software solutions based on customer needs. Collaborate with other development team members for application development and operational support. Develop software using Natural with ADABAS. Maintain software processes for file transfers using Connect Direct software. Create and manage JCL for batch processing. Manage queues and flows using IBM MQ. Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify potential solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or equivalent. 15+ years of experience developing large-scale applications on a mainframe platform. Expert proficiency in Natural programming with ADABAS. Experienced with Software AG's NaturalONE Eclipse-based development environment. 5+ years of experience defining requirements with customers. Proficient with O365 components (Word, Excel, etc.). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Clearance:

US Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a TS Security Clearance. Preferred Skills: Top-Secret security clearance. Experience with IBM's Connect:Direct for file transfers. Familiarity with IBM MQ. Knowledge of Confluence and Jira. Experience with ServiceNow. Proficiency in conducting meetings via MS Teams. Company Overview:
