We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer
to join our team, focusing on z/OS and ISV support. This role is crucial for the installation, testing, and implementation of z/OS operating systems and related software in a dynamic environment. As a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer, you will: Lead the installation and maintenance of mainframe systems infrastructure software, including z/OS and ISV products. Engage in ongoing software lifecycle management, incident/problem resolution, and performance tuning. Customize and configure systems via PARMLIB and JES2. Utilize your advanced knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL to enhance system functionality. Communicate and collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams on technical projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Ideal candidates will have: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. In-depth knowledge of z/OS installation, SMP/E, and Unix System Services (USS). Experience managing USS file systems and security. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills. The ability to work under pressure during major incidents or emergencies. A collaborative, self-motivated work ethic capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
