Job Summary Wright Technical Services is proud to a highly respected Food & Beverage manufacturer for this role. The Corporate Controls Infrastructure Engineer will be a member of the Corporate Controls Engineering Department with a focus on Control System Infrastructure. As the Corporate Controls Infrastructure Engineer, he/she will primarily be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Control System at each site to ensure proper uptime, performance, user access, and security. They will work on Controls and Automation projects to support installation of new Control System components and upgrade of existing Control Systems at all of Client’s Facilities. When specifically assigned, they will perform the actual installation of new Control System components and upgrade of existing Control Systems at all of Client’s Facilities. They will provide remote support for Controls and Automation activities for all of Client’s Facilities. The Corporate Controls Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the Corporate Controls Engineering Manager, Team Leaders, and Senior Engineers to align on Standards and Processes for managing the Control System Infrastructure. Mentoring will be provided for gaining an understanding of the design and standards of the Controls Systems. Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college/ university is required Must be open to 25% travel, and a Tobacco and Drug Free Workplace 7+ Years’ experience within a Controls & Automation Engineering role in the Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, or similar industry is required Advanced Ladder Logic Programming within Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix) is required Advanced HMI Development is required, preferably within Wonderware (AVEVA) ArchestA System Platform Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles Experience with Ethernet/IP Communication within a Plant Control System Strong Computer Skills (MS Office) Excellent formal and information communication skills, professional attitude and appearance Preferred Qualifications and Experience Experience with configuring and maintaining industrial managed switches, such as Stratix Experience with AVEVA MES or a similar MES Experience with SQL Databases Familiarity with Design/Specification of Process Control Panels Description and Responsibilities Maintain the Plant Controls & Automation Systems, specifically PLC and HMI firmware updates, to ensure Control Systems stay up to date on needed features and cybersecurity mitigations. Maintain Rockwell Software infrastructure, including AssetCentre PLC and HMI asset management and backups, licensing, Studio5000 and FactoryTalk View SE software, and staying current on Rockwell-supplied patches. Maintain AVEVA System Platform and MES infrastructure, including staying current on AVEVA-supplied patches, automatic galaxy backups, licensing, and providing Technical Support for AVEVA systems. Develop and maintain configuration for system monitoring tools that report on abnormal conditions within the Control Systems. Specify OS, hardware, software, and network configurations on all Engineering Servers. Maintain documentation related to all Engineering Servers. Approve Microsoft patches for all Engineering Servers based on published patch compatibilities from Rockwell Software and AVEVA. Coordinate with IT Infrastructure Team and plant personnel to install patches with minimal plant impact. Develop and maintain documentation for Control System Standards. Develop and maintain Backup and Recovery Standards for all relevant Engineering devices. Coordinate with IT to have them execute backups according to developed standards. Maintain Control System networks, including Device Level Ring (DLR) technology, industrial Ethernet/IP switch technology, and legacy ICS network technology including but not limited to ControlNet. Collaborate on and document network design and standards. Provide network assignments and network documentation for all Control System devices. Coordinate with IT on Control System connection and traffic requirements across IT networks. Manage existing user access within the Control System environments, including a quarterly audit of user access levels. Provide consultation and support on new user access as authorized by Controls Engineering Manager. Controls & Automation Systems Technical Support, utilizing the HELP Desk System, including PLC and AVEVA ArchestrA development tasks. Maintain design & specification documentation of Plant Control System Architecture, including Control Panels, Hardware, and Communication Protocols. Provide technical consultation on Control System Obsolescence projects. Partnership with 3rd Party Controls Engineering partners. Compensation: $135,000-$160,000 per year
