What You'll Be Doing: Design and deploy advanced machine learning models to enhance the performance of our prior authorization platforms. Construct intricate SQL queries and perform preprocessing, feature engineering, and transformations on healthcare data to maintain high-quality input for model training. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to effectively integrate and deploy ML models across various environments. Engage with clinicians and stakeholders to drive the development and improvement of our ML models. Work with Infrastructure and Architecture teams to ensure model efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment of ML models. Lead MLOps initiatives to streamline the process of deploying, monitoring, and improving ML models. Conduct data mining to uncover insights that drive decision-making and enhance automation across platforms. Implement feature flagging to quickly pilot model enhancements and performance optimizations. Translate complex technical details into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders, effectively telling stories through data. Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and integrate new techniques into existing applications. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field; Master's Degree or Ph.D. preferred. Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and XGBoost. 2+ years of advanced SQL experience, including complex analytical task queries. 2+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCS, Azure). 2+ years with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and source control. 2+ years working in Agile environments. Proven experience developing and deploying ML systems in production. Experience in healthcare, particularly with administrative and prior authorization data. Ability to solve complex problems and navigate through uncertainty. Collaboration experience with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams. Familiarity with Azure cloud services, Azure ML Studio, and Azure MLOps preferred. Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and LLMs preferred. Experience with feature flagging preferred. Publications or contributions to the machine learning community preferred. The expected base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
