Power Electronics Software Development Engineer Join to apply for the Power Electronics Software Development Engineer role at Core Group Resources . Job Summary We are looking for Power Electronics Hardware Development Engineers who are passionate about designing and controlling Low, Medium, and High Voltage Power Electronics converters. These converters, with over 98% efficiency, are developed for challenging environments such as those with condensation risks, high vibrations, shock, and arc flash. You'll be working on cutting-edge systems for industries like oil and gas, marine, and military applications. If you are excited to push technological limits and your own, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities Simulate overall Power Electronics systems for industrial applications such as Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power generation. Specify electrical components (Cables, Filters, Inductors, Capacitors, Transformers, Converters) of the electrical power plant. Write project artifacts such as Hardware and commissioning instructions. Customize Voltage Source Inverter (IGBT or Sic) and Thyristor converter (Rectifier LCI). Support Drive Commissioning. Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering. Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% to resolve site issues. Familiarity with Matlab/PLECS and C coding, especially with Industrial Informatics and real-time systems. Autonomous, curious, with the ability to understand new concepts, coach others, and work in a team. Major courses on Power Electronics Converters (MMC, multilevel VSI, LCI, DC drives, Cycloconverter), Variable Speed applications, STATCOM, or active filtering.
