In the role of an Application Developer, we'll count on you to: Develop and maintain in-house automation tools to support the Building Engineering Services Group Develop tools that interface with Revit, BIM360, Autodesk Platform Services, and Engineering Analysis software Identify and develop new tools to assist with automation, interoperability, and project execution. Drive thought-leadership and industry visibility for the company through presentations, conferences, whitepapers, and other strategic initiatives Understand and apply the agile development lifecycle. Work in partnership with other software developers and computation engineers within HDR Manage a complex range of tasks to meet deadlines and develop tools on-time and within budget. Collaborate with a professional environment with a national team of developers, geospatial analysts, engineers, scientists, business analysts, and planners. Lead and participate in remote teams with individuals from diverse backgrounds, both technical and non-technical. Lead development projects, plan and design solutions, develop database schemas and analysis methods to support project goals. Develop solutions for desktop, web, and mobile platforms. Share ideas and work collaboratively with other developers. Solve problems to make tasks easier, maintainable, and stable. Stay curious about new web and mobile development technologies and know when to use them. Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies. Manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in software development Experience with agile practices via Jira Experience with server-side technologies (Java, .NET, NodeJS, etc.) Proficiency in C#, Python, WPF, MVVM Strong API design, development, and support skills Experience with PLSQL queries and relational databases Knowledge of cloud computing Experience with unit testing, CI/CD Experience with Esri ArcGIS Server/Enterprise, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and creating SDE databases Required Qualifications A strong commitment to our employee-owned culture and inclusivity.
