Principal Technical Consultant, Platform Engineering This role serves as a technical thought leader and SME for our ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers in Modern Apps & Platform Engineering. The Principal Technical Consultant leads the development, design, implementation, and engagement of client solutions. They manage, mentor, and delegate to engineers on projects, oversee career development plans, and support internal initiatives within the organization. A strategic mindset, strong leadership, and deep technical proficiency are essential. Responsibilities Ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects that exceed client expectations. Design and implement complex, mission-critical enterprise solutions for clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and drive business expansion. Create and present technical and non-technical deliverables for client teams and leadership. Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and develop tailored solutions. Present solution designs and innovations to clients' senior leadership. Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and innovation plans. Implement CI/CD solutions. Estimate projects, identify risks, and oversee solution delivery. Mentor and develop team members, fostering growth and excellence. Lead collaboration within technical communities. Qualifications Ability to develop solutions on a whiteboard in front of clients. Strong consulting and business acumen. 10+ years of IT experience; 5+ years in Cloud, DevOps, Automation, Modern Apps, and Digital Transformation. Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS DevOps Engineer Pro, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Terraform Associate, etc. Hands-on experience with core platform services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Containers, Security, Identity. Experience with organizational adoption of transformational initiatives: Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Transformation, Application Modernization. Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, ARM, CloudFormation. Experience with deployment services: Harness, GitHub, Ansible, Jenkins. Programming experience in Java, Python, or similar languages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of cloud-native application design, DevSecOps, IaC, CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of enterprise organizations and IT functions across industries.
