Cloud Computing Engineer

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the implementation of the organization's cloud strategy, assisting with the design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture. Reporting to the Sr Manager, the person in this role will join the Cloud Engineering & Software Development Support team to build and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure and systems. What you'll be doing: Contribute to cloud projects by supporting managers with research analysis and advice on cloud infrastructure and solutions. Assists in managing mid-size cloud projects from development through implementation, ensuring they contribute to the company's progress. Support the cloud architecture team by ensuring scalable and resilient solutions that align with business goals under the guidance of senior architects. Assists with cloud deployments by ensuring cloud architecture is aligned with DevOps practices for efficient implementation. Assists in solving cloud business problems using basic analytical techniques. Provides research and analysis to support management in developing cloud solutions. Identifies opportunities for improvement and assists in creating cloud-based solutions. What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in a related field. Experience working in cloud infrastructure management and exposure to cloud security practices. Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Added bonus if you have: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Practical experience with IaC tools beyond basic understanding, such as Terraform. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer). Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, DBT) or business intelligence/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Apache Superset) relevant to "engineering insights."
