What You Will Be Doing: This is an operationally focused role where you will handle escalations, determine the cause and resolution of issues from a networking perspective, and use network data to inform other teams about what is broken in their environment. The position involves a very broad scope of networking, including load balancing technology, LTM, GTM, WIFI, WAM, MPLS, and data center networking. You will need to be able to figure out problems without being handed. Key Responsibilities: Leading the installation of complex hardware, systems, and software for network and/or security components. Evaluating new and emerging technologies. Leading the development and maintenance of scripts to facilitate network administrative tasks and automate repetitive processes. Recommending solutions that address user satisfaction and the business needs of the organization. Directing the technical analysis of current networks. Writing and reviewing requirements documents for the evaluation of new hardware/software. Partnering with internal and external staff to develop requirements for new services and applications to meet customer needs. Developing security definitions for the operation and management of customers' communications systems. Leading the development and enhancement of enterprise-wide Network enhancements in support of the Digital organization's objectives. Serving as the highest level of escalation for troubleshooting analysis of server and workstation connectivity and associated network components. Performing in-depth/advanced analysis of network performance and recommending performance tuning. Analyzing escalated issues to determine and evaluate solutions once the root cause is determined. Managing and ensuring the quality of higher-risk/impact network installations or enhancements. Handling escalation and determining the cause and resolution from a networking perspective. Using network data to let other teams know what is broken in their environment. Required Skills & Experience: Specialized depth and breadth of expertise in networking Routing and switching technology, IP, and signaling Experience with packet captures Understanding networking at a deep level In-depth knowledge of the ITIL framework In-depth knowledge of waterfall and agile project management processes Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business 7+ years of relevant experience Desired Skills & Experience: Linux OS Scripting languages like Python Netscout MPLS Understanding load balancing technology, LTM, and GTM Degree in network administration, CCNA, or Network+ certification Pay: $49.00 - $70.00 /hr.
