SAIC is seeking an ambitious Information Technology Solution Architect Associate to assist IT architecture lifecycle management and the development, assessment, and documentation of solution designs satisfying challenging business and technical requirements. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, analytical, curious, self-starting, and confident while also being a committed learner, a good listener, and responsive to constructive feedback. We anticipate the successful candidate will further develop their IT domain knowledge by rotating through several areas of IT Service Delivery, such as Cloud Services management, IT Security, Networking, IT Metrics and Performance Analytics, and IT Platform management (including Server Infrastructures, Relational Database Management, and IT Storage Management). Simultaneously, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced solution architects on IT modernization projects such as continued cloud migrations, maturation of a zero-trust architecture, IT service automation and AI integration, and continuous IT Service Management (ITSM) process improvement.

Qualifications

Required: The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (e.g., systems engineering, physics, mathematics, information technology) plus a minimum of two years professional work experience. Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, information organization and problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to rapidly develop their professional skills. This position is in support of our customer, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). PBGC is an agency of the United States government. Work onsite (3+ days / week) in Washington, D.C. is required. Ability to obtain a public trust is a requirement for this position.

Desired: Exposure to relevant models and frameworks, including Systems Engineering lifecycles, the Engineering V, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), DevSecOps, and Architecture frameworks such as DoDAF or TOGAF. It is highly desirable that the candidate have strong foundational skills in statistics and mathematics.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
