Our work depends on Systems Technicians joining our team to support, manage, and be responsible for all the tasks listed below to successfully complete assigned technical projects. Provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Windows Hardware support - Troubleshoot and diagnose internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems. Install, and upgrade computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other critical hardware. Provide troubleshooting, support, diagnose, isolate, and resolve system service failures to meet program resolution timelines (Critical, Essential, and Support). Reseat cards, reboot hardware, replace hardware components, and replace cabling. Re-image or reload software to approved baseline standard, run diagnostics to repair storage disc or corrupted files. Customer service oriented with ability to explain technical terms in a user-friendly way, and work with our customers to properly diagnose system issues and recommend solutions. Provide situational awareness to operations: technicians on incident troubleshooting actions, coordination, and resolution status. Communicate incident ticket: change request updates with managers, team members, service providers, customers, and stakeholders. Update incident: change documentation, configuration management database (CMDB), knowledge articles, training resources, and other documentation. Conduct back-end device configuration, manage security settings, and protocols. Participate in the administration of multiple critical network systems. Must be able to track project studies, plans, action items, etc. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required. Education: HS/GED, Technical Training, Certification(s), or the equivalent combination. Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience Understanding of desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL best practices. Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment: CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.13 - $33.18. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
