Immediate Opening for a Senior Applications Engineer - Aerospace (DC/Baltimore/Virginia) SNAPSHOT! Are you motivated by the challenge of a dynamic, complex, yet rewarding career? We are looking for a Senior Applications Engineer who is passionate about design challenges, collaboration, product creativity, and attention to detail in developing high-quality products and systems. Key Responsibilities Include: Draft, review, and submit technical proposals to customers, coordinating with sales and engineering teams. Represent the technical solutions of our products to address specific customer problems. Deliver technical presentations and manage demonstration scripts for products. Design and develop tailored solutions to meet customer requirements. Stay informed about industry trends regarding product demands and new product development. Maintain knowledge of competitor products and capabilities. Articulate the value proposition of our products over competitors. Travel with Market Managers and sales teams as required. Manage project records, scope changes, and internal documentation with customers. Oversee technical communications and project development directly with customers. Lead design activities and prioritize tasks within the engineering team. Ensure design quality and that products meet customer requirements. Manage prototype and production costs, tooling needs, and lead-times. Conduct product validation, installations, and evaluations at customer sites. Travel as required across the country, Mexico, and customer sites. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customer engineering teams. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of applicable experience; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of aluminum and steel materials. Willingness to travel to Mexicali, Mexico, as needed. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and internet applications. Expertise in CREO and Windchill software. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams internally and externally.
