Sr. IT Project Manager

We are seeking an IT Project Manager with 3+ years of experience in IT project management and PMP certification to manage and coordinate all tasks associated with several, multi-agency, enterprise projects of significant complexity and risk. *This is a hybrid role located in Columbia SC, working onsite in office three days a week and remote 2 days a week. Candidates must be a current resident of SC. *W2 long term contract, must have work status to be employed directly (Green Card, US Citizen, EAD). No C2C or third party candidates, please. What you will do in this role: Define project objectives and scope by reviewing project proposals to determine time frame, available funding, procedures, and various phases of the project lifecycle for several major, multi-agency, enterprise projects. Prepare necessary documentation to support project initiatives; review and manage proposal selection and bid recommendations. Coordinate and manage projects using project management methodologies from inception through completion. Determine and evaluate risks that may affect the project and implement a risk mitigation strategy. Oversee the development and execution of communication plans, which may include communicating with organizational leaders, elected officials, and the public about the projects impact or status. Prepare status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, champions, etc. Education/Experience required: A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. (3+) years of experience in project management with proficiency in technology. Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional (PMP). 1+ year of experience with financial applications, enterprise reporting, and managing transformation projects.
