We're hiring a Network Engineer for a long-term remote contract to support enterprise-level network and security operations. This role is focused on managing and enhancing network infrastructure using Palo Alto firewalls and other next-generation technologies. You'll play a key role in day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and long-term architecture planning. This position is ideal for a technically strong, certification-backed engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and can work independently while collaborating across teams. What You'll Do: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure Implement and support Palo Alto firewalls and security policies Optimize routing and switching configurations across multi-site environments Perform system upgrades, migrations, and patching with minimal disruption Analyze network traffic, logs, and performance metrics to ensure system health Provide Tier 2/3 support and resolve escalated network issues Assist in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy efforts Document network topologies, configurations, and change management processes Collaborate with other engineers, cybersecurity, and IT support teams to align systems with business goals What You Bring: CCNP and PCNSE certifications required 3+ years of professional experience in network engineering Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls Proficiency with routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus Solid understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security principles Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting Strong written and verbal communication skills Bonus Skills: Experience supporting distributed enterprise environments Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper networking solutions Knowledge of scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell) About Us We provide mission-driven organizations with secure, scalable IT solutions that protect critical infrastructure and support long-term operational resilience.
