SSUSA Job #1068: SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER Job Description SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER One of our nonfinancial national clients is seeking an individual to install, troubleshoot, and maintain company-wide Cisco enterprise infrastructure, including converged networks, wireless, and building systems in their NYC headquarters. This is a highly technical, hands-on position requiring experience with Cisco networks. The role also involves light project management. Applicants must reside in the New York City area and be able to commute to the office 5 days a week. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations and will interact with internal and external teams responsible for integrating hardware and software systems. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining the company-wide enterprise Cisco network and ensuring the continued operation of infrastructure supporting systems such as Wi-Fi, HVAC/Energy, Access Control, Elevators, Life Safety Systems, Turnstiles, and Voice. This position demands a proactive, self-starting individual comfortable working towards strategic goals. Qualifications 7-10 years of experience working in a Cisco environment Advanced knowledge of: Switching and routing technologies (Cisco 9k, 7k, 5k), network fabrics LAN/WAN Protocols and technologies (EIGRP, HSRP, VRF, VPC) VoIP/QoS design and deployment Layer 1 infrastructure (fiber, copper, RF) Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure best practices Firewall configurations, ACLs, network security Other desirable skills include Cisco and Meraki technologies, IoT architectures, security, and device integrations, as well as experience with Solarwinds. Certifications such as Cisco or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
