Job Title: Associate, Software Engineering Company: Goldman Sachs Bank USA Location: Dallas, Texas Job Duties: Perform detailed technical design and development of data-intensive capabilities using existing and emerging technologies. Utilize modern data and analytics technologies to provide clients with tools to improve cash flow management efficiency. Develop, test, rollout, and support data platform features, contributing to the vision, roadmap, and engineering culture while integrating business value and client experience. Develop big data capabilities to support the business. Act as a subject matter expert for Snowflake Data Warehouse, responsible for data modeling, entitlement, and data ingestion using ETL solutions like Apache Airflow and Apache Spark. Build checks on datasets to ensure compliance before data store ingestion. Work on stream data processing and develop tooling for self-service capabilities of the CCM Business Intelligence platform. Leverage AWS X-Ray, CloudWatch, and Datadog metrics for monitoring applications. Support data federation with internal teams using proprietary platforms and languages. Provide global support for critical applications within the TxB Data Platform. Mentor junior engineers and assist in expanding the engineering team through recruiting and hiring. Job Requirements: Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in software engineering roles. Experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages and SDLC processes using GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD, and automation pipelines. Proficiency in Python, Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka for enterprise application development. Experience designing, administering, or developing distributed services in AWS, considering business, risk, and compliance requirements. Skills in data modeling, complex SQL querying, and building scalable APIs using Spring Boot, REST, and GraphQL. Experience with ETL development, database object creation, and data analytics in relational databases. Knowledge of modern data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Cassandra, Oracle, or Postgres. At least 2 years of experience with distributed systems, high throughput/low latency messaging platforms like Kafka, and building scalable data pipelines with Airflow, Flink, or Spark. Experience with observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch or Datadog and documenting architecture based on business requirements. Goldman Sachs is an equal opportunity employer.
