As a Full Stack Developer at Carter's, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering APIs and AWS-based solutions that enhance our retail initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to drive technology that improves store operations and elevates customer experiences. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background, business acumen, and a proven track record in developing scalable, data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day full-stack development activities, focusing on creating APIs and Amazon Web Services (AWS) components.
Collaborate with internal business units and external vendors to generate creative ideas, solve problems, and gather technical and business requirements.
Develop and implement innovative store technologies while ensuring reliable service to retail units.
Create customized technical solutions to enhance business capabilities, automate processes, and improve performance using programming, scripting, and systems experience.
Analyze and summarize data to proactively identify trends and provide insights to business partners.
Participate in complex, high-visibility projects relating to your area of responsibility.
Explore innovative initiatives to improve inventory profitability, including RFID technologies, loyalty programs, custom cloud services, and relevant inventory solutions.
Present development ideas, data trends, and project projections to leadership while maintaining effective communication with all levels of the organization.
We Seek Candidates Who Have:
A minimum of 2 years in software development with experience in Node.js, Python, C# (.NET Core), Java, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
A minimum of 2 years working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and familiarity with SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, API Gateway, VPC, EC2, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
At least 1 year in project planning, including gathering business and technical requirements and project estimation.
Experience with SQL queries and SQL Server operations.
Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on process improvement.
The ability to manage multiple projects with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Proficiency in at least one software development IDE, such as XCode, Visual Studio, or JetBrains Tools.
Experience using MacOS for development tasks is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a related field (preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science).
2+ years of professional experience in an AWS administrative or developer role.
Retail industry experience is a plus.
