This is a long-term contract position within the transport industry, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the security and efficiency of complex networks. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain secure network solutions using Cisco architecture and related technologies. Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues, ensuring minimal downtime in high-pressure situations. Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and other network devices, including Cisco ASA and Checkpoint. Utilize automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform to streamline network operations. Optimize routing protocols like BGP and OSPF to enhance data center networking performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security aligns with organizational goals. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Provide documentation and training to support the ongoing maintenance of network systems. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to implement innovative solutions. Requirements In-depth knowledge of Cisco architecture and networking technologies. Strong expertise with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. Hands-on experience with automation tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues. Familiarity with firewalls, including Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Fortinet. Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent experience.
