$110.00/hr - $110.00/hr Job Summary:
As part of a development team, analyze business requirements and design technical solutions. Responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Handle complex problems independently, demonstrating analytical thinking and data interpretation skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze system requirements, including program interactions and interfaces. Recommend development of new code or reuse of existing code. Lead projects, assign tasks, coordinate efforts, and monitor performance. Suggest new technologies and methodologies; stay current with technological advancements. Evaluate hardware configuration needs based on reporting, cost, and security factors. Participate in software testing, validation, programming, and documentation. Provide technical advice and solve programming issues. Write and review system specifications, including output requirements and flowcharts. Assist in preparing project plans with project management tools. Review test results, document activities, and record remedial actions. Ensure proper analysis to prevent rework and schedule delays. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills:
Experience in designing and developing scalable, data-driven multi-tier applications in distributed environments. Knowledge of software design methodologies like SOA, Microservices, Multi-Layer, OOD. Strong background in HP NonStop technologies (COBOL, SQL, TAL, TACL, TMF). Experience with SSIS Packages and SSRS Reports. Proficiency with SQL Server and Oracle databases. Knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL. Exposure to J2EE enterprise environments. Understanding of RESTful services. Knowledge of messaging platforms (e.g., IBM MQ) is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, Genesis is a plus. Experience with ETL/Data Integration tools (e.g., ODI, SSIS) is a plus. Knowledge of Splunk and Dynatrace is a plus. Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid development methodologies. Excellent communication skills. Financial Services experience is preferred. Preferred competencies:
Analysis, communication, judgment, and decision-making skills are essential. Additional details:
