The Opportunity

Database Administrator
position is based in
Minneapolis, MN , within the Medical Devices Digital Solutions organization. The role involves ensuring data availability, integrity, and security, performing routine database tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrades, capacity planning, performance tuning, security procedures, and backup/recovery. It also includes supporting application development teams and participating in deploying new products or features. What Youll Work On
Define requirements and designs for database systems. Collaborate with application teams to ensure successful deployment and performance. Manage and support application database platforms. Consult with developers and clients on system impacts. Implement data replication and advanced monitoring solutions. Maintain documentation, security, and compliance standards. Manage projects, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement. Provide 24x7 on-call support and participate in strategic planning. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company policies. Maintain positive communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 1-2 years of experience in large enterprise database environments. Experience with transactional and data warehouse practices, database security, and working in SOX regulated environments. Ability to architect databases based on requirements, work in a matrixed environment, and communicate effectively. Travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
SQL Qualifications
Knowledge of programming in T-SQL, PowerShell, VBScript, etc. Experience with SQL Server HA and DR technologies, Windows OS, and performance tuning.
