The Position:
Chameleon Integrated Services is currently looking for a part-time IBM
Mainframe Administrator
to support one of our local clients.
This position requires the ability to pass a Public Trust background check.
Overview:
The IBM Mainframe Administrator serves as the subject-matter expert and an administrator for an IBM Mainframe system. You will assist operators with the support and optimization of jobs and procedures, assist leadership stakeholders in working with technology evaluation and are responsible for the overall system operations, enhancements, and support.
Responsibilities: Work with customer personnel to understand and document system requirements Analyze existing systems and their functionality Architect, design, plan and estimate the enhancements Implement solutions Ensure business user acceptance of the solution Education & Experience:
Familiarity with z/OS operating system, including installation, upgrade, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance Knowledge of all z/OS utilities and tools Knowledge of TSO/JCL, RACF, VTAM Bachelor's degree 10 years or more of experience supporting IBM z/OS operations 5 years or more of experience in a technical leadership role Certs Required:
Must be able to pass a Public Trust background check Certs Preferred:
Professional certifications are a plus
