To provide a return on investment to shareholders. To promote employee development. The role requires: Current experience with first-level troubleshooting for all monitored devices within a GNOC. Updating tickets within the ticketing system. Updating monitoring tools with new devices, maps, changes, and removals. Following processes to escalate issues to ensure SLA compliance related to monitoring routers, switches, data circuits, servers, and environmental devices. This is a customer-facing position. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required. The candidate must be process-oriented for escalations and notifications for management. Collaboration with applications & application support teams for CRM, SharePoint, Exchange, Citrix, and web-based applications for outages and service delays is essential. The candidate will also work closely with global service providers for degraded or circuit outages. Tools used within the NOC include: Primary Tool: UIM (NimSoft) ASM, Thousand Eyes Riverbed Web Analytics General knowledge and experience with Windows 2003 / 2008 and UNIX-based servers, including starting services, IIS resets, server reboots, Cisco routers, and switches, are a plus.
