POSITION SUMMARY:

The Network Analyst provides technical support to various departments within the Oxford Collection of hotels. This role will serve as the technical information resource and subject matter expert for client users assisting in evaluating products and providing system software knowledge, companywide. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting, adjusting and monitoring overall efficiency of operational systems, managing software applications and acting as a key technical liaison.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

All duties and responsibilities of this position are always to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collections of hotels standards and culture.

Information Technology Operations (20%):

Application Maintenance: Ensure the reliability and maintainability of existing applications by upholding standards and enforcing established procedures. Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communication across teams, management, and external partners. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between IT and other business units, fostering collaboration to ensure that technology initiatives meet business needs and drive company-wide success. Directory and System Management: Possess advanced knowledge of directory services, user account management, and overall system administration. Documentation and Policies: Develop and manage technical documentation, policies, and procedures, ensuring clarity and ease of use for business applications. End-User Support: Provide ongoing installation, troubleshooting, and user support for hardware and software systems to ensure smooth operation at all properties. Operating System Knowledge: Provide hands-on support and expertise in operating systems, office productivity suites, and a variety of desktop applications. Property IT Implementation: Assist each property with the secure installation, configuration, and training of IT systems to ensure smooth openings and continuous hotel operations. Technical Support: Deliver day-to-day technical support to end-users, ensuring timely resolutions for system issues and incidents, with a focus on centralized systems and operations. Travel to Properties: Travel intermittently to hotel properties to provide on-site support, system updates, and technical assistance as required. Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee, support, and maintain all aspects of IT infrastructure, including server hardware, software, network systems, and cloud services. Industry-Specific Application Expertise: Demonstrate experience and familiarity with hospitality-specific business applications, software interfaces, and technology systems. Project Coordination: Support the coordination of IT requirements for new acquisitions and other large-scale projects, ensuring proper integration into the organizations infrastructure. On-Call Support: Provide after-hours support on a rotating basis to ensure critical system availability and operational continuity. Hardware Management: Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and removal of hardware systems across all properties, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. System Monitoring: Provide escalation support to ensure that all system components are effectively monitored and maintained in optimal operating condition, with proactive measures to avoid downtime.

Information Security (15%):

Access Control and User Permissions: Manage the setup and ongoing support of user access rights, permissions, and role-based security, ensuring appropriate levels of access across all platforms and software systems. Data Backup and Disaster Recovery: Ensure robust data backup and disaster recovery systems are in place, functioning properly, and tested regularly to minimize risk of data loss and ensure business continuity. Incident Response and Management: Lead the development and execution of incident response plans for security breaches or cyber threats, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on business operations. Security Monitoring and Threat Detection: Implement and manage systems for monitoring network and system activities, ensuring real-time detection and response to potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Security Patch Planning and Deployment: Plan, manage, and implement the deployment of security patches for desktop, server, and network systems to ensure systems are protected against the latest security threats. Security Technologies: Evaluate, implement, and manage advanced security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption solutions to safeguard the organizations data and systems.

Networking and Infrastructure (25%):

Cabling, Switching, and Peripherals: Maintain strong expertise in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of cabling systems, network switches, printers, and other peripheral devices to ensure efficient and reliable network connectivity. Disaster Recovery for Networks: Implement and regularly test network disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery in case of network failures, data loss, or other emergencies. Network Change Management: Ensure all network changes follow a strict change management process, including submitting change requests to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) for review and approval before implementation. Network Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all networking activities comply with industry standards and regulations, particularly those related to data security, privacy, and communications. Network Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of network-related issues, using a range of tools and techniques to quickly identify root causes and provide resolutions. Vendor and Service Provider Management: Work with external vendors and service providers to ensure that networking hardware, software, and services meet the organization's needs and that service levels are maintained. Network Security: Collaborate closely with the security team to implement network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), safeguarding the network from potential threats. Network Architecture Design: Collaborate in the design and ongoing enhancement of network architecture, ensuring it supports scalability, reliability, and the seamless operation of the organization's services. Capacity Planning: Perform network capacity planning, ensuring that future network growth and expansions can be accommodated without disruption or performance degradation. Cloud Networking: Ensure proper integration and management of cloud-based networking services (e.g., hybrid or fully cloud-based networks), overseeing connectivity between on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Network Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including network topology diagrams, configuration details, and hardware inventory to ensure easy access for audits, troubleshooting, and future upgrades. Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implement and maintain tools for network performance monitoring, ensuring that potential issues such as latency, bandwidth bottlenecks, or hardware malfunctions are promptly identified and addressed. Server Hardware and Software Management: Possess in-depth knowledge of server hardware and software installation, configuration, management, and optimization, ensuring stable and secure network operations across all properties. Wireless Network Management: Oversee the design, installation, and management of wireless networks (Wi-Fi), ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity for staff, guests, and devices across all hotel properties.

Telecommunication Systems (15%):

Disaster Recovery for Telecom Systems: Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans for telecom infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption and rapid restoration of services in the event of system failures. Unified Communications: Oversee the integration and maintenance of unified communication platforms, ensuring smooth operations for voice, video, messaging, and collaboration tools used by staff across multiple properties. Telecom Vendor Management: Establish and manage relationships with telecom service providers, ensuring service quality, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues related to telephony and internet connectivity. Telecom Network Security: Implement security measures to protect telecommunication networks from unauthorized access, eavesdropping, and other security threats, ensuring secure communications across all properties. System Upgrades and Optimization: Supervise the regular review, upgrading, and optimization of telecommunication systems to meet evolving organizational needs and industry standards. Telecom Cost Management: Monitor telecom-related expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources, cost-saving initiatives, and accurate billing from service providers. Telecom Infrastructure Planning: Participate in the design and planning of telecom infrastructure to support new property openings, renovations, or technology upgrades, ensuring scalability and cost-efficiency. Telecommunication Systems Management: Manage and maintain telecommunication systems across all hotel properties, including phone systems (PBX), voice mail, video conferencing systems, and VoIP technologies. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Perform or oversee troubleshooting of telecommunications systems, resolving issues related to telephony, conferencing systems, or network connectivity in a timely manner. Bandwidth Management: Monitor and manage bandwidth usage to ensure that voice and data traffic are appropriately prioritized, minimizing latency, dropped calls, or connectivity issues for users. Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that all telecommunication activities and systems comply with applicable industry regulations, such as FCC requirements, emergency communication standards (e.g., E911), and data privacy laws. Telephony and Data Convergence: Support the convergence of voice and data networks, ensuring the smooth integration of telephony services with the organization's broader IT and networking infrastructure. VoIP and Unified Communications: Manage and support Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and other unified communication platforms, ensuring clear and uninterrupted communication across the organization. Life Safety Systems: Responsible for the maintenance, compliance, and emergency support of analog phone lines for life safety systems, ensuring reliable communication for critical functions like elevators and fire alarms.

Expense Management (15%):

Capital and Operating Budget Contributions: Participate in the planning and forecasting of the organizations technology capital and operating budgets. Provide insights and recommendations on large-scale IT investments, system upgrades, and infrastructure changes to ensure alignment with business priorities. Cost Control Measures: Implement cost control measures across IT operations, focusing on reducing unnecessary expenses, consolidating resources, and improving efficiencies within IT procurement and asset management. Expense Management and Invoice Processing: Oversee the processing of IT-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments. Monitor departmental expenses, ensuring they remain within budgeted limits and that any discrepancies are promptly addressed. Procurement and Contract Management: Participate in hardware and software evaluations, ensuring that all acquisitions meet the organizations technical requirements and budget constraints. Maintain up-to-date vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and tracking renewal dates to avoid service interruptions. Third-Party Vendor Oversight: Assist in the selection, onboarding, and performance management of third-party vendors, ensuring that all partnerships are aligned with business needs and compliance standards. Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related financial matters, including invoicing and payments. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Contribute to the formulation and management of IT budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities. Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost optimization and technology investments. Cost Optimization and ROI: Support the evaluation of IT expenditures, ensuring that the organization receives maximum value from its technology investments. Perform cost-benefit analyses and monitor the return on investment (ROI) for IT projects and system upgrades. Financial Reporting for IT Projects: Prepare detailed financial reports for ongoing and completed IT projects, highlighting expenditures, variances from budget, and financial impacts on the organization. Ensure clear documentation and justification of IT-related expenses for auditing and regulatory purposes. Lifecycle Management: Support the management of the financial aspects of IT asset lifecycle management, ensuring cost-effective procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware and software resources. Vendor and Partner Management: Support the development and maintenance of relationships with key technology vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in information systems or related field experience in a hotel environment a plus. Experience in working in a team based environment with the ability to work independently as needed. Knowledge in hardware troubleshooting, software installation, telephone and voicemail system installation. Ability to partner and communicate well with internal and external business partners (hotels/vendors). Working knowledge of Microsoft environment including operating systems and office related products. Working knowledge of non-Microsoft software applications in a PC environment, i.e. Antivirus, Reporting Software, third party tools, and remote-control software Individual must be skilled in the purpose, procedures and requirements of basic networking. Individual must be skilled in understanding blueprints, network cabling and low voltage design. Individual must be customer focused and have a clear understanding of their service role in the corporation. Individual must be able to deal effectively with a wide variety of users. Individual is required to act in a professional and confidential manner.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently. Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, climb and walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis. Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 50 lbs. and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move objects.
