Software Development Engineer In Test (Sdet)
Location: Sylmar, CA (100% Onsite) Bill Rate: $45-50/hour Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Agile development team. This is a fully onsite role in Sylmar, CA, and we are only considering candidates within a one-hour commute due to daily onsite requirements. As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our web and backend applications used in global clinical trials. You'll contribute to both automated and manual testing efforts in a regulated medical device environment. About the Company: We are a medical device company operating in a regulated environment, supporting both internal and external applications used in clinical trials worldwide. Our technology stack includes .NET Core / .NET Framework, Angular, Oracle PL/SQL, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps (on-prem). We follow Agile Scrum methodologies and emphasize collaboration, quality, and innovation. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated UI and integration tests using Playwright with C# Execute manual and exploratory testing of Angular/.NET applications using tools such as Postman and JMeter Write and manage test cases in accordance with regulatory standards Create and run SQL queries (Oracle PL/SQL) for backend validation Collaborate with developers and product owners to define testable acceptance criteria Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps Report and track bugs with clear and concise documentation Required Qualifications:
24 years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming Experience testing Angular front-end and .NET back-end applications Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar browser automation tools Knowledge of SQL; experience with Oracle PL/SQL is a plus Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; Azure DevOps preferred Understanding of Agile methodologies Strong problem-solving and communication skills Comfortable writing or learning to write manual test cases Preferred Qualifications:
