Job Description

As a

Senior Linux System Architect,

you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and server infrastructures. Your role will involve ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of these systems, as well as providing technical support and guidance to users and administrators.

What You'll Do:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux

operating systems and servers Monitor system performanc e and ensure high availability and reliability Implement and maintain security measures

to protect systems from vulnerabilities and threats Provide technical support and guidance

to users and administrators Perform regular updates and upgrades

of system software and hardware components Create and modify scripts

to automate tasks and improve efficiency Develop and implement system recovery protocols

in the event of a breach or failure Maintain documentation of system configurations,

troubleshooting procedures, and user guidelines Work with cross-functional teams

to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features and updates What You'll Need:

10 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing system planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software) and optimization. Proven work experience as a Linux Engineer or similar role Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and associated languages Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization Familiarity with security management and disaster recovery planning Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef Technical understanding of network, storage, security, and app/dev principles and best practices Nice to Have:

Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCA), Linus Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE), Linus Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar certification.
