Job Description
We are looking for a reliable Sr. Construction Project Manager for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center program to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Select tools, materials and equipment, and track inventory. Meet contractual conditions of performance. Review the work progress on a daily basis. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management. Licensed professional in California, and/or Certified Construction Manager. Experience as a project manager/construction manager representing owners of Health Facilities, Parking Garages, OSHPD facilities, and structural demolition. 15 years' experience in the position working on complex construction projects under the jurisdiction of the County of Los Angeles and OSHPD in California. Prior Design-Build projects experience in similar sizes and complexity as a project manager. Environmental hazardous material abatement experience. Management of building projects in similar size and complexity. Evidence of satisfactory past performance, knowledge of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes.
Preferred Qualifications
LEED AP Certification is desirable. Building Information Modeling, (BIM) experience is desirable.
