New Position Opening- Urgently Hiring! Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO)
is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Assistant Club Director
to assist with overseeing daily operations of our
Steve Wise Club located in Akron, OH.
Position reports to the Regional Area Director & Club Director and will be responsible for assisting in the management of one location. In the absence of the Club Director, this role will serve as lead staff person at the site and work with administration, Club staff and volunteers to provide members with a supervised, fun, safe and optimal Club experience. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday - Payrate is $ 18.26 per hour. School Year shift approx. 11am-7pm. (Sep-May) ***Summer Club Shift typically between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. (Jun through Aug) Generous Benefits, Paid Time-off and Paid Holidays! Essential Job Responsibilities: Ensure programs & services help prepare youth consistent with BGCA's commitment to quality Promote, stimulate and recruit student membership for the Club Recruit, select and manage program staff Perform administrative and operational tasks Cultivate positive and beneficial relationships with local businesspeople, school officials, politicians, parents and other social service agencies and the community at large Ensure building and property of the Club are safe, clean and in good condition for daily programming Provide guidance and be a Role Model Preferred Skills & Requirements: Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university required 2 years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club

similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people. Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel Ability to recruit, train, supervise & motivate staff Effective communication skills both oral and written Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders Valid State Driver’s License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 month of hire)
