Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Data Scientist specializing in AI and Machine Learning. We are looking for an experienced professional to assist the US Intelligence Community in designing, building, and implementing advanced Generative AI solutions that enhance decision-making while ensuring reliability, transparency, and scalability. The AWS US Federal Professional Services team partners directly with US Intelligence Community agencies and public sector entities, focusing on the adoption of Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI methods to achieve mission goals. We develop innovative models across various modalities, including text, image, video, and audio, utilizing both traditional and cutting-edge technologies. In this role, you will: Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and architects to create and assess algorithms that address real-world challenges. Engage directly with customers to understand their business issues and implement AI solutions effectively. Deliver presentations and briefings to guide clients on adopting best practices and transitioning to production. Produce best practice recommendations, tutorials, and blog posts tailored to diverse audiences. Offer feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to influence product development and innovation. This position requires up to 25% local travel and mandates that candidates possess and maintain an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience building models for business applications. Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, and machine learning techniques. Hands-on experience with Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet). Active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: Master's or PhD in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or similar quantitative fields. Practical experience solving complex problems in real-world settings. Expertise with deep learning frameworks and experience applying Generative AI methodologies. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year to $247,600/year, depending on geographic market and individual qualifications.
