The role involves market development into IDN, acute care hospitals, and reference labs via a consultative, solution-based selling process involving a matrix team. The buying cycles are complex, often requiring executive sponsorship and hospital administration approvals, with sales cycles ranging from 24-36 months and decision points involving senior decision makers. Territory & Product Responsibilities Territory includes: AZ, CA, NV, UT, CO, WY, MT, ID, OR, & WA. The primary product focus is the BD Kiestra Total Lab Automation (TLA) System. Skills & Qualifications Proven success in team and solution selling, especially in capital equipment sales within complex organizations. Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and C-suite presentation skills. Experience with CRM/, funnel management, and forecasting. Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; minimum 5 years of large dollar capital equipment sales experience. Knowledge of hospital and reference lab sales processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel 50-75%. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic account plans with cross-functional teams to meet sales targets. Lead without direct authority, partnering with various internal groups. Effectively communicate product features and benefits, including economic justifications. Manage decision-maker relationships to secure contractual agreements. Maintain customer satisfaction and realize revenue streams. Align with BD's strategic direction, demonstrating value across the product portfolio. Manage the sales process involving clinical labs and hospital administration. Build and maintain relationships with clinical lab leadership and hospital executives. Additional Information Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel. Compensation ranges from $130k-$255k annually, including base salary and incentives. BD emphasizes on-site collaboration but offers flexibility in workplace arrangements.
