Core Competencies:

Within Harris Williams IT, the Business Intelligence Solutions Architect and Product Owner role will help drive our competitive advantage in investment banking execution by differentiating with Business Intelligence. The Business Intelligence Solutions Architect and Product Owner will be a key member of the Data Engineering team, accountable for all internal HW reporting, and will have product ownership of the Microsoft Power BI platform.

As a critical platform for the firm, Power BI is used across all departments to create business insights and is used in daily engagements to provide execution excellence for the firm's clients. This individual will manage the Business Intelligence product backlog and provide Power BI coaching to the firm. The Business Intelligence Solutions Architect and Product Owner will be a part of the Information Technology team, reporting to the Data Science Team Lead. They will work closely with all aspects of the Technology team as well as all our internal stakeholders to ensure our reporting is done in a robust, consistent, and sustainable fashion.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Intelligence Product Owner Collaborate closely with business users across different departments to understand their data needs Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable roadmaps Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the BI platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals Manage the BI product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value and stakeholder input Partner with Product Owners to integrate the technical priorities into an overall integrated roadmap for the platform Business Intelligence Solutions Architect

As a key member of the Data Engineering team, the Business Intelligence Solutions Architect and Product Owner will work under the direction of the Data Science Team Lead Engage with program/process owners, stakeholders, and business partners as necessary to communicate the objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress of the Business Intelligence Engineering team Design and implement scalable, efficient BI solutions using Power BI, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategies Ensure current technical knowledge of the platform including existing products, new introductions and deprecations Collaborate with the Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams to ensure platform interoperability within the broader firm ecosystem Proven success designing sustainable Business Intelligence solutions, optimizing performance and driving successful project completion Provide architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Power BI Service Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing amongst the Power BI community Data Visualization and Reporting

Design and guide the development of intuitive dashboards, reports, and semantic models to deliver actionable insights Partner with UX experts to optimize report usability and accessibility, ensuring alignment with analytics goals Build re-usable artifacts within Power BI to support self-service reporting Maintain existing reports and manage the daily support of tools Identify high usage reports and overlapping requirements and requests Adapt, promote, and certify self-service reports for the enterprise Competencies

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field 4+ years of experience in Power BI / Power BI Paginated or 5+ years combined experience in Power BI / Tableau 5+ years of experience in SQL Server or Azure SQL DB 3+ years of experience in Agile methodology Experience in querying or designing dimensional data warehouse models Experience in developing Power BI data sets Experience in data governance and master data processes Experience with tools like DAX studio/Tabular Editor/ALM toolkit/SSRS is beneficial Experience with Kimball (Dimensional) Models Experience with complex data modeling Preferred: Experience in statistical modeling or machine learning approaches and tools
