Job Description DPR is seeking a Data Architect with extensive experience in data engineering, data architecture and data modeling to drive the design and implementation of a data ecosystem that supports quick insights, high performing data models and AI use cases. In this role, you will help shape the Construction Management Data domain that will drive our journey towards standardized data assets and data products. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data modeling, knowledge graph development, and modern data architecture. This individual will evolve DPR's semantic layer, enabling intelligent data connectivity and AI-ready architectures. Responsibilities Define and implement data architecture standards, frameworks and guidelines to ensure data platform efficiency and to ensure high quality data for gaining insights / downstream consumptions Lead the creation of data models and ontologies to standardize data definitions, relationships and semantics across systems Design and implement knowledge graph architectures to semantically integrate structured and unstructured data across the enterprise. Collaborate with extended teams and stakeholders to establish data standards, metadata management practices and data quality frameworks Define and manage vocabularies, taxonomies, and ontologies to support enterprise data governance and semantic interoperability. Design scalable architectures that integrate various data sources, systems, and platforms while minimizing duplication Develop an anonymized Construction Data Model that can be leveraged by DPR Partners and companies Partner with engineering, data analysis, data science and business teams to align data solutions with business needs. Mentor technical teams in data architecture best practices Develop comprehensive architectural documentation and communicate data architecture principles to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Conduct exploratory data analysis to elucidate deficiencies and opportunities with tangible evidence Partner with other Distinguished Engineers across the enterprise to identify and foster investments in shared data services and platforms Engage with senior business product leads to understand the business strategy, value propositions, relative priorities and criteria for success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering At least 5 years of experience in enterprise data modeling, including logical, physical, and semantic modeling for knowledge graphs. At least 2 years of experience in cloud computing (building applications in Azure/AWS ) Experience with Data Clean rooms and anonymizing data. Hands on experience with Azure/AWS Cloud data technologies, Snowflake, dbt, datalakes, S3, Fivetran, ADF Experience working with data operations for enterprises, especially supporting RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL, GraphQL, ETL, SQL (Snowflake, etc.) is strongly preferred Experience building and scaling enterprise knowledge graphs, including graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Stardog). Experience designing and implementing data management solutions that enable Data Quality, Reference Data Management, and Metadata Management. Comfortable coding with Python and proficient in SQL In-depth understanding of Parquet and DeltaLake data formats Background using multiple data storage technologies including relational, document, key/value, graph and object stores Demonstrated ability to partner with internal product and intent owners to help define requirements and outcomes for data-focused initiatives Ability to decompose large problems and execute smaller, manageable bodies of work to demonstrate continuous architecture delivery Analytical mindset with a commitment to data-driven decision-making and process improvement. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and a passion for digital transformation.
