As the Spatial Database Administrator, you will provide ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase administration and development for the design, enhancement, implementation and operational readiness for MnDOTs Enterprise Geodatabases. This role provides primary administration spatial data warehouse design, operational standards, and recommends tools to manage data lifecycle and integration. This position works closely with ArcGIS administrators, database administrators, server administrators, spatial data owners, and end users. This position also supports extract, translate, and load (ETL) processes and procedures working with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and their associated PL/SQL languages.

This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience providing GIS support and development of data with ESRI desktop software ArcGIS.
Experience must include:
Extensive expert skills with the ESRI ArcGIS suite of software, including ArcGIS Server, SDE repositories, ArcGIS client, and ArcGIS Online Extensive Python programming experience in an ESRI ArcGIS environment Expert experience of Common Relational Database Techniques and Platforms Demonstrated experience of ETL (Extract, Transfer, and Load) of spatial and standard tabular data, including demonstrated experience administering and supporting common ETL platforms and commercial tools such as FME, informatica, and ESRI Demonstrated experience supporting application, data, and web service developers with data development services, including systems and process documentation. Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving. Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate mutual understanding.
A masters degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelors degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associates degree substitutes for one (1) year.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of MNITs services, standards and processes. DBA Experience on Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. Python Scripting against ArcGIS APIs in the automation of geoprocessing and ArcGIS server administration. This includes demonstrated experience using code management systems for storing, versioning and tagging Oracle objects and code. Extensive knowledge of computer systems concepts and the techniques of systems analysis. Expert experience in IT business analysis for potential solutions. Experience estimating development costs. Experience developing a comprehensive system and software test plans.
