We’re looking for a VP, Creative Director (Art) to lead our rising Creative team. The successful candidate is ambitious, collaborative, curious, and creative. A storyteller at your core, you thrive on audience connection regardless of the medium and know how to inspire buy-in on big ideas. You are grounded in cultural fluency and have a unique perspective that pushes the boundaries of creative innovation. You take pride in your work, see the importance in mentorship, sweat the small stuff, ask for forgiveness not permission, and go the extra mile (or three) to ensure you are doing your best work.
We’re looking for self-starters who are innate storytellers with creative agency experience. This person is excited to inspire our clients and our squad within a collaborative environment. Day One prides itself on being a place to grow and further your career.

This position is full-time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is only available in Portland.
Responsibilities
Be a creative team leader and champion of big ideas Execute and sell creative and brand vision for our clients and the Day One brand Inspire, motivate, and mentor internal design & creative teams to think differently while actively inspiring clients to elevate their work Come from a place of earning it, developing concepts designed to connect with culture Shape and develop cohesive narratives, maximizing the quality of our output Ideate and develop breakthrough concepts, setting an example for the team Bring a solution oriented approach to every challenge Communicate across teams consistently and effectively Review and refine briefs, project plans and staffing across projects Act as a true team player - willing to take on any creative task, big or small.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in art direction/design Experience successfully leading creative projects from ideation through to execution Experience working successfully across disciplines Driven by the creative landscape of social media Experience leading complex assignments and collaborating with a diverse team Visually led skill set, with ability to oversee ideation and presentations Experience project managing deliverables and organizing resources Entrepreneurial spirit and a style that inspires Proficiency in generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, MidJourney, Runway, DALL·E, or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to use AI in developing innovative advertising concepts, content creation, and campaign strategies Bachelor’s degree

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for Portland based hires only and is provided pursuant to the applicable law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.Seniority level
